Disappearing Object Phenomenon - The Sugar Bowl Incident

Below are two photos of the green sugar bowl that vanished from my stovetop, then reappeared. Not only is the sugar bowl clearly visible on the stove, it's impossible to miss seeing it when looking in the cabinets above and to the left and right of it.
